

Diagnostic (DIAG) Track POCUS IP Certification Exam
The Diagnostic Track POCUS IP Certification Exam is your final step towards acheiving Canadian POCUS IP certification. It is administered to candidates who attended an introductory DIAG Course AND completed the required number of scans under IP Certified Instructor.

About The Event
Course Overview
The Diagnostic Track POCUS IP Certification Exam is administered to candidates who are looking to be certified as Diagnostic Track Independent Practitioner (IP) from the Canadian Point Of Care Ultrasound Society (CPoCUS). Only candidates who attended DIAG POCUS Introductory course and logged the required number of scans will be registered.
Examination Process
Participants must pass the following CPoCUS examinations:
Written Examination: Online multiple-choice (85% minimum passing score)
Practical Examination: Live model assessment (100% accuracy required)
Visual Examination: Computer-based image interpretation, 3-4 hours (85% minimum passing, critical components mandatory)
Prerequisite: Active CPoCUS account with valid membership. To get your membership, create an account at cPoCUS.ca. After registration, you will have access to the DIAG Track curriculum. All assessments are based on the curriculum.
Examination Retake Policy
One retake for practical exams will be provided during the course.
One retake for written exam will be arranged 24hrs after the first attempt.
Additional retakes and visual exam retakes must be arranged separately and incur an extra fee of OMR 25.
Certification Process
Once you have successfully completed the requirements, your instructor will submit an application for Independent Practitioner Certification to CPoCUS. You can expect to receive your IP certification in about 4 weeks.
